MILTON, N.Y., Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Sono-Tek Corporation (OTCQX:SOTK) is pleased to announce the development of a new coating technology – Ultrastatic Enhanced Spray Coating (“ESC”). This unique deposition technology was jointly developed by Sono-Tek Corporation and SAMES KREMLIN, France.
Ultrastatic ESC is available for special early release to research institutions as an option with Sono-Tek XYZ spray coating platforms. The Ultrastatic ESC system uses Sono-Tek’s ultrasonic atomization in combination with SAMES KREMLIN’S electrostatics. The joining of these two long-established coating techniques has shown interesting results, often enhancing deposition and coating attributes.
R. Stephen Harshbarger, Sono-Tek’s President, stated that, “SAMES KREMLIN was an ideal partner to jointly develop the Ultrastatic ESC with Sono-Tek. SAMES is considered one of the world’s leading electrostatic coating manufacturers with over 6 decades of experience developing advanced electrostatic coating systems. Their in depth knowledge of electrostatic spraying techniques, in combination with Sono-Tek’s 4+ decades of engineering ultrasonic spray platforms, showed clear logic to develop the product together. Sono-Tek has recently received our first purchase order for the Ultrastatic ESC, and will begin promotion of the product to our research and development customer base in 2018. We are optimistic that research labs and universities using the system, will help us expedite the process to find the best applications for Ultrastatic ESC.”
Sono-Tek ultrasonic spray systems are proven in a wide range of precision spray applications worldwide, including implantable medical device coatings such as stents, printed circuit board spray fluxing, semiconductor coatings, solar and fuel cell manufacturing, thin film glass deposition, food and other industrial coatings applied to any width production lines. Sono-Tek’s environmentally friendly ultrasonic spray systems feature up to an 80 percent reduction in spray material, and dramatic reductions in waste and energy consumption.
SAMES KREMLIN electrostatic coating systems are providing high transfer efficiency combined with outstanding spray performances, including particle size, homogeneity and film thickness uniformity, accommodating various coating applications in many markets such as automotive, general industry, energy and consumer goods.
